40-night Sleep Trial Terms & Conditions
Exclusive to the Studio Collection. These terms explain The Mattress Studio’s 40-night comfort-exchange offer.
1. Which mattresses qualify?
The trial applies to qualifying Studio Collection mattresses purchased with a Mattress Studio mattress protector. Purchase the protector separately or receive it with the optional five-year Guardsman protection plan. Insurance is optional, and a second protector is not required when your plan includes one.
2. When does the trial start?
Your trial starts on the date your mattress is delivered and lasts for 40 nights. Sleep on your mattress for at least 30 nights before requesting a comfort exchange, allowing time to adjust to its feel. Contact us within the 40-night trial period if you would like to exchange it.
3. Caring for your mattress
Use your Mattress Studio protector throughout the trial. The mattress must be kept and returned in a clean and hygienic condition.
4. Your comfort exchange
The trial provides one comfort exchange per qualifying mattress purchase. Choose a replacement from the Studio, Natural or Nest collection. Once the exchange is completed, the trial ends. The replacement mattress does not begin another 40-night trial.
5. Exchange fee and price differences
A £129 Sleep Trial Exchange Fee applies once per exchange. It covers collection of your original mattress, handling and restocking, and delivery of your replacement.
- If the replacement costs more, you pay the price difference plus the £129 exchange fee.
- If the replacement costs the same, you pay the £129 exchange fee.
- If the replacement costs less, the saving is offset against the £129 fee. We refund any balance remaining after the fee, or you pay any shortfall if the saving is less than £129.
For example, a replacement costing £200 less gives a £71 refund after the fee. A replacement costing £100 less leaves £29 to pay. The fee is not charged a second time.
This trial offers a comfort exchange rather than a return for a full refund.
6. How to request an exchange
Contact hello@themattressstudio.com or call 0808 501 3855 within your trial period. Please provide your order number so we can identify your purchase, discuss your replacement and arrange the exchange.
7. Your rights and our other policies
These terms govern qualifying 40-night sleep-trial exchanges. The discretionary goodwill exchange provisions in clause 11.5 of our general Terms & Conditions do not apply to these exchanges. Where the general conditions conflict with this trial offer, these Sleep Trial Terms govern the trial.
Your statutory consumer rights, including any applicable cancellation rights and rights relating to faulty or misdescribed goods, are unaffected. The trial’s settling-in period, condition requirements and exchange fee do not restrict those rights.
